Dear Valued Parents of Jurong Centre,

Hi everyone. It's December!
We would like to thank you for entrusting your child with us for the whole year.
We thank you for your understanding and your efforts in making time to meet our teachers for the parent-teacher conference.

The K2 concert held at Republic polytechnic on 26 November09 was a success. This year's concert revolved around the theme of Sportsmen, presented in a musical soiree, by the 2009 K2 graduands of 21 My First Skool centres. Children learned about lessons in teamwork, perseverance and integrity during the concert preparation process. The main message to bring across to children was that "true sportsmanship is more than just winning the game". You may view some snapshots of the concert photographs from K2 class photos this month.

This year, we introduced a mini graduation concert cum barbecue session at our centre. Due to space constraints, Nursery and Kindergarten 1 children and parents are invited to join us in this event. For those who attended, you must agree with us that the children put up wonderful performances that night. That experience was meant to be a lesson for the children to appreciate their friends as they bid farewell to their brothers and sisters in K2. We had a good turnout of 140 participants that evening!!!

Thank you parents, for your support and kind contribution for some of the barbecue food. Special thanks for parents who helped us to carry bulky tables and chairs, to start up fire and barbecued some of the food. Last but not least, we thank you for your feedback to our blog page. In summary, we gathered very positive and encouraging responses from parents.
Please understand that we have constraints to display the entire activity flow or curriculum content on the internet.
Based on your feedback, we would enhance the blog page with the following:

1) photo page of teachers and brief description of each teacher
2) featuring one English lesson/activity and one Mandarin Lesson/activity per class monthly
3) featuring of selective rhymes or songs in respective class sections
4) calender of events
5) new sections: Upcoming Events and Announcements, Thank you letters from Parents,
Special Events Section.
6) Comment box would be enhanced and look more prominent for parents.

We invite you to continue to work closely with us as close partners so we could be better each day.
Thank you for being with us for 2009 and we look forward to work closely with you to help your child grow further in 2010.
